Together with industry and service providers of e-learning applications and solutions,\u00a0<\/span>eLFAsia<\/span> organizes annual forums to advance knowledge of the use of information technology in teaching and learning. These forums are held in turn in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mainland China, Singapore, and Thailand, and are gaining recognition as major events for the Asian academic community.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mission\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The mission of\u00a0<\/span>eLFAsia<\/span>\u00a0is to advance the application of information technology in teaching and learning, with special emphasis on the opportunities and challenges faced by institutions in Asia.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Governance\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

As an organization positioned primarily to advance education through the use of information technology in Asia, our corporate governance structure reflects the need for a balanced representation by dividing the organization into a number of regional chapters.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each regional chapter will take turn to host the annual\u00a0<\/span>eLFAsia<\/span>\u00a0conference. In addition, each regional chapter can sponsor and organize local activities and events tailored to meeting the needs of its own community.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each regional chapter can elect its own governing board. The chapter governing board can nominate a maximum of two persons to serve on the\u00a0<\/span>eLFA<\/span>\u00a0Board of Directors.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Separately, the\u00a0<\/span>eLFAsia<\/span>\u00a0Board of Directors can also nominate individuals to become board members.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Annual General Meeting will oversee the election of all directors each year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
